Interpretek would like to congratulate Allison Jordan on her promotion to Director of Interpreting Services! Allison has been with Interpretek for over two years as the Interpreting Services Manager for the Jacksonville, Florida office. As the Director of Interpreting Services, she will be managing our customers, consumers, and interpreters in the Jacksonville area.

Allison is a national certified interpreter who graduated from Siena Heights University in 2013 with a BS in American Sign Language/English Interpreting, followed by a Masters of American Sign Language/ English Interpreting in 2018. However, her foundation for professional interpreting began with the strong foundation the Florida State College at Jacksonville’s Interpreter Training Program provided her in 2012. She holds her National Interpreter Certification (NIC) and Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) with a level 4.8. When she is not working, Allison enjoys spending time with her family, running around at the dog park with her pup, and all things CrossFit.

In addition to Allison, the Jacksonville office has a full-time ASL Staff Interpreter, Carly Hudson, who is available for a variety of interpreting jobs. Carly earned her B.S. in ASL/English Interpreting and master’s degree in ASL/English Interpreting: General Practitioner from the University of North Florida. She holds National Interpreter Certification (NIC) and Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) credentials with a level 4.2 in PSE and 4.3 in ASL. Before joining Interpretek full-time, she worked in various settings such as K-12, post-secondary, video relay services, healthcare, and performing arts. Over the years she has volunteered for organizations close to her heart, such as Florida’s RID chapter (FRID), Silent Weekend, and Women’s March Jax.

Carly considers herself an ally to the Deaf community and strives to ensure communication equity. In her free time, she enjoys reading next to her three-legged cat, Tofu and hiking with her partner, Parker.
