Andres is an amazing model for online instruction. He is very engaging and compassionate towards his students. He is very skilled in managing diverse skill levels and maintains high (and reasonable) expectations for each student. Thank you for teaching and encouraging me.

So happy I continued on and too ASL 102. This class took all the vocabulary from 101 and helped us form those into conversations and real world interactions. I cannot stress enough the pace of this course is just right. The instructor (Andres) did not move onto new material until we understood the current material. It wasn’t about just getting through the class material – it was about our comfort and comprehension of the information. Looking forward to ASL 103!

I’ve taken a handful of ASL courses over the years, both casually and collegiate, before discovering Interpretek. Andres is hands down the best instructor I’ve ever had. His classes are always enjoyable. Amidst COVID, class feels like a social opportunity, yet is still very structured and productive. I’ve learned more with Andres over the past several months than I did, collectively, over the past 10 years. Andres has boosted my confidence to sign in public and at work, and I’m very thankful to him for that because I’ve since met some really great Deaf folks that I otherwise wouldn’t have had the courage to make friends with. I look forward to continuing my ASL studies with Andres and aspire to be an ASL interpreter someday soon. I very, very highly recommend Andres with Interpretek!

Another great class! I’m so thankful for the opportunity to chat, learn and meet new friends in ASL. Andres is a gifted teacher! He has a wealth of knowledge of ASL and teaches with kindness, compassion and fun, along with emphasizing the importance of learning ASL correctly in order to communicate effectively. It is a joy to be his student and I have recommended him and these classes to friends.
