Sign Language Interpreters & Online-Based ASL Classes in Kansas City

Jennifer Corbit was born and raised in Rochester, NY. In 2016 she graduated from National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) at RIT with her bachelor’s degree in ASL-English Interpretation.

Jenn has been with Interpretek for 5 years as a coordinator in the Rochester office. Within that time, she has coordinated multiple events, including Interpretek’s ongoing coverage of the Rochester Red Wings home games! In addition to coordinating, she has presented to third- and fourth-year interpreting students, planned Interpretek appreciation events and attended the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) conference in 2019.

Hello! I’m Betsy Heckler and I’ve been a coordinator with Interpretek for almost 5 years now. I received my bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language/English Interpreting from Bloomsburg University in 2016. I was a freelance interpreter before joining the Interpretek team in 2017. I am currently working on attaining the credentials needed to interpret again in Pennsylvania!

I live in Bloomsburg, PA with my fiancé. We are getting married in a little more than a month and are very excited for this next chapter of our lives! In my free time, I enjoy dancing, going to sports events, and spending time with family and friends.

Betsy lives in Bloomsburg and is recently married. She is excited to start this new chapter of their lives. In her free time, Betsy enjoys dancing, going to sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.

Alyssa Shaup moved to Bloomsburg, Pa after graduating with a B.S. in ASL/English Interpreting in 2021. After Independent Contracting with Interpretek for 3 years, Alyssa joined the team as an Interpreter Coordinator in May of 2024. In her spare time, she enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her partner, 2 cats, and dog.

Kayla Watson is a CODA with a passion for the Deaf community and a love of coordinating. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in communications and has been using her degree to bring people together ever since!

She started with Interpretek in 2024 and is excited to be working with the Deaf community and to be a part of a team that provides such a crucial service.
